BD Venflon™ intravenous catheter with integrated injection port and valve for peripheral catheterization. Allows needle-free administration of bolus drugs during infusion. Back-cut needle bevel and tapered end of the PTFE catheter facilitates insertion and minimizes the risk of vein damage. Wing position reduces the risk of bacterial contamination by avoiding direct contact between the back of the catheter hub and the skin. Using the wings, catheter immobility can be further ensured by applying the BD Veca-C™ and BD Veca-Fix™ IV dressing.
